Eggnog French Toast

Thick slices of sourdough bread are dipped into a mixture of eggnog and eggs that's flavored with cinnamon and a little brandy and cooked until golden brown.
 

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 thick slices sourdough bread
  • 1 pint eggnog
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoonn brandy
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup

Method

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. 2. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggnog, eggs, brandy & ground cinnamon together. 3. Dip bread into egg mixture for a few seconds and place in skillet. Cook about 5-6 minutes. Turn French toast over and cook another 5 minutes until golden brown. 5. Serve with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
