Cheese-Potato Casserole

A classic au gratin potato side dish for just about any meal.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (thinly sliced)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 slices American process cheese
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk

Method

Cook potatoes in boiling water for 15 minutes or until almost done and drain. Place in a 1-1/2 quart casserole and season with salt and pepper. Dot with margarine. Cut the cheese into 1/2 inch strips and place over potatoes. Pour milk over casserole and cover. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer or until slightly browned.
